Project Engineer - Swimming Pool Experience

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Manage swimming pool projects from planning through execution and final handover
• Develop project schedules, milestones, and resource plans
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards

Technical Coordination

• Coordinate with architects, pool designers, consultants, and MEP engineers
• Review and interpret drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications
• Ensure accurate execution of pool designs and technical requirements on site

Construction Management

• Oversee all stages of pool construction including excavation, structural works, waterproofing, tiling, and finishing
• Supervise installation of pool systems such as filtration, circulation, pumps, piping, drainage, and lighting
• Ensure proper execution of balancing tanks and hydraulic systems

Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and engineering standards
• Follow UAE authority requirements including Dubai Municipality regulations
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues promptly

Cost Control & Procurement

• Assist in material take-offs and BOQ preparation
• Support procurement of materials and subcontractor services
• Monitor project costs and highlight any deviations

Stakeholder & Contractor Management

• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams effectively
• Coordinate with clients and consultants for approvals and progress updates
• Ensure smooth communication between all project stakeholders

HSE & Risk Management

• Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on site
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe working practices are followed

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports
• Maintain proper site documentation including approvals, inspections, and testing records
• Track project risks, delays, and overall performance

Testing, Commissioning & Handover

• Oversee testing and commissioning of all pool systems
• Ensure successful completion and smooth client handover

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 5–8 years of experience in swimming pool construction projects (UAE experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of pool construction, waterproofing, and MEP coordination
• Experience with pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heat exchangers, and dosing systems
• Familiarity with UAE authority regulations and approval processes
• Strong project management, coordination, and leadership skills
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and BOQs
• Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD or project management tools is an advantage
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Valid UAE driving license preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in luxury villas, hotels, or large-scale pool projects
• Knowledge of water treatment systems and hydraulic calculations
• PMP or equivalent project management certification (optional)
