Project Engineer - Swimming Pool Experience

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and execution of landscaping, swimming pool, and water feature projects.
• Support the Project Manager in coordinating site activities from mobilization through project completion.
• Ensure all works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor daily site progress and provide regular updates to management.

2. Site Supervision & Coordination

• Supervise site engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and workforce activities.
• Coordinate civil, MEP, landscaping, and irrigation activities to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment on site.
• Identify site challenges and coordinate timely corrective actions to avoid delays.

3. Technical Coordination

• Review technical drawings, BOQs, material submittals, method statements, and specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, landscape designers, and MEP teams.
• Ensure proper integration of civil works, irrigation systems, MEP services, and landscaping elements.
• Provide technical support and resolve engineering issues during project execution.

4. Swimming Pool & Water Feature Works

• Assist in execution of swimming pools, filtration systems, pump rooms, and water features.
• Coordinate installation of pumps, piping systems, underwater lighting, drainage, and automation controls.
• Supervise construction and installation of fountains, waterfalls, splash pads, and decorative water systems.
• Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system handover activities.

5. Landscaping & Civil Works

• Supervise hardscape and softscape works including paving, kerbstones, pathways, retaining walls, and planting activities.
• Monitor grading, excavation, leveling, and drainage implementation works.
• Coordinate underground utilities, irrigation sleeves, and landscape infrastructure installations.
• Ensure compliance with approved landscape drawings and project standards.

6. Quality Control & HSE Compliance

• Conduct regular inspections to ensure work quality and compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure all activities comply with UAE authority regulations and company quality standards.
• Maintain high workmanship standards across all project activities.
• Enforce HSE policies, safety procedures, and site regulations.

7. Cost Control & Procurement Support

• Assist in preparation of material requests, BOQs, and quantity take-offs.
• Coordinate with procurement teams for timely material delivery.
• Monitor material consumption and support project cost control initiatives.
• Evaluate subcontractor performance and monitor site productivity.

8. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Maintain project documentation including inspections, approvals, and site records.
• Track project progress, delays, risks, and escalation requirements.
• Assist in preparation of as-built drawings and project handover documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3–6 years of UAE experience in landscaping, swimming pools, or water feature projects.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site execution, and project coordination.
• Knowledge of civil, MEP, irrigation, landscaping, and water feature systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with UAE authority regulations and construction standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is preferred.
• UAE Driving License is an advantage.
