Project Engineer - Swimming Pool Experience

PTWL is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Engineer with experience in landscaping, swimming pool, and water feature projects. The successful candidate will support project planning, site execution, technical coordination, and project delivery while ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion of all assigned works.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Execution

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and execution of landscaping, swimming pool, and water feature projects.
• Support the Project Manager in coordinating site activities from mobilization through project completion.
• Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and client requirements.
• Monitor daily site progress and provide regular updates to management.
• Assist in tracking project milestones and ensuring timely completion of activities.

2. Site Supervision & Coordination

• Supervise site engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and workforce activities.
• Coordinate civil, MEP, landscaping, and irrigation works to ensure seamless project execution.
• Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Identify site challenges and implement corrective actions to minimize delays.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain productivity targets.

3. Technical Coordination

• Review technical drawings, BOQs, material submittals, method statements, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, landscape designers, MEP engineers, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure proper integration of civil works, irrigation systems, MEP services, and landscaping elements.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve engineering issues during project execution.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate inspections and approvals.

4. Swimming Pool & Water Feature Works

• Assist in the execution of swimming pools, filtration systems, pump rooms, and water feature installations.
• Coordinate installation of pumps, piping networks, underwater lighting, drainage systems, and automation controls.
• Supervise construction and installation of fountains, waterfalls, splash pads, and decorative water features.
• Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover activities.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

5. Landscaping & Civil Works

• Supervise hardscape and softscape activities including paving, kerbstones, pathways, retaining walls, pergolas, planting, and landscape finishing works.
• Monitor grading, excavation, leveling, drainage, and site preparation activities.
• Coordinate installation of underground utilities, irrigation sleeves, and landscape infrastructure.
• Ensure landscaping works are executed according to approved drawings and quality standards.

6. Quality Control & HSE Compliance

• Conduct regular inspections to ensure work quality and compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure adherence to UAE authority regulations, company quality standards, and project requirements.
• Maintain high workmanship standards throughout project execution.
• Enforce HSE policies, site safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
• Participate in safety inspections and risk mitigation activities.

7. Cost Control & Procurement Support

• Assist in preparing material requests, BOQs, quantity take-offs, and project estimates.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Monitor material consumption and support project cost-control initiatives.
• Assist in evaluating subcontractor performance and productivity.
• Support variation assessments and progress evaluations.

8. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Maintain project documentation including inspections, approvals, site records, and correspondence.
• Track project progress, delays, risks, and escalation requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings, operation manuals, and handover documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of UAE experience in landscaping, swimming pool, water feature, or related construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site execution, and project coordination.
• Good knowledge of civil, MEP, irrigation, landscaping, and water feature systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project documentation.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with UAE authority regulations and construction standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office applications.
• UAE Driving License is an advantage.
