We are seeking a bright, motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Project Engineer / Project Coordinator in Baltimore. This role supports the project manager and field teams with documentation, scheduling, cost tracking, drafting, and construction coordination. It is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to build a strong foundation in the construction and engineering industry.
Responsibilities
- Design and draft fire protection systems using AutoCAD
- Prepare coordination and fabrication plans
- Review construction documents and prepare cut sheets and RFIs
- Provide engineering/technical support to field staff
- Work closely with the project management team and support client needs
- Assist with project planning and scheduling aligned with construction progress
- Support the project manager throughout all construction phases
- Visit construction sites and attend project meetings
- Prepare documentation, reports, and construction-related documents
- Coordinate procurement and material handling
- Log and monitor RFIs and change orders
- Assist with on-site coordination to ensure project success
- Ensure project schedules stay on track and meet deadlines
- Manage the RFI and submittal process
- Process owner billings and assist with project-related accounting tasks
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management (preferred)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (required); Revit experience is a plus
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively
- Familiarity with construction codes, standards, and best practices
- Recent graduates in engineering or construction fields are encouraged to apply
- Ability to commute to project sites, primarily within the Baltimore and DC/MD/VA metro areas
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $55,000–$65,000 per year
