Project Estimator/Project Manager

In-House Insurance Estimator (Xactimate Required)

Windy City Construction Group is seeking an experienced In-House Insurance Estimator to join our growing team.

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH XACTIMATE, CATASTROPHE (CAT) ESTIMATING, AND INSURANCE CLAIMS.

Responsibilities:

• Write detailed exterior property estimates using Xactimate
• Prepare and review roofing, siding, gutter, and exterior restoration estimates
• Negotiate claim scope and pricing directly with insurance adjusters
• Follow up with insurance carriers regarding claim status and payments
• Work closely with our sales team to manage active files and move projects through the claims process
• Review claim documentation and identify missing or overlooked damages
• Assist with supplements and estimate revisions as needed
• Visit job sites when necessary to inspect damage and take photographs
• Maintain organized file documentation and claim notes

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Xactimate experience (Required)
• Proven experience writing exterior insurance restoration estimates
• Strong knowledge of roofing, siding, gutters, and storm damage claims
• Experience negotiating with insurance adjusters
• Experience handling CAT (catastrophe) estimates and storm-related claims
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to visit job sites as needed for inspections and documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working for a roofing, restoration, public adjusting, or insurance company
• Familiarity with insurance claim procedures and supplements
• Construction and restoration industry experience
