Project Estimator/Project Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Estimator/Project Manager to lead the planning, estimation, and execution of construction projects. This role combines strategic project management with precise cost estimation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, leveraging their construction estimating expertise and project management skills to drive successful project outcomes. You will be instrumental in coordinating between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality results that meet client expectations and company standards.

Duties

  • Develop accurate project estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project scope using tools like HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
  • Prepare detailed cost proposals, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor quotes.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure the best value for the company.
  • Oversee project planning from inception through completion, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Manage construction site activities by coordinating with field teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Monitor project costs continuously through effective cost control measures; adjust estimates as needed to reflect changes or unforeseen conditions.
  • Review contracts and change orders thoroughly to mitigate risks and protect company interests.
  • Utilize construction management software to track progress, manage documentation, and communicate updates effectively across teams.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction estimating, project management, or a related field within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam for document markup and collaboration; HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
  • Solid understanding of construction site operations, safety protocols, and management practices.
  • Knowledge of contracts, cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and project scheduling.
  • Hands-on construction site experience that provides practical insight into on-the-ground challenges.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
