The Projects Unit Lead facilitates and managers all small, large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception through to completion. The role holder will manage and control the capital investment programme and is responsible for the delivery of all projects and activities.
Scope and responsibilities:

Works with the Technical Operations Director to develop medium and long-term strategic plans of the Department in line with the Museum Abu Dhabi’s vision, mission and strategic goals.

Establishes Capital Works section goals, methods, policies and procedures for implementing programs in alignment with the Technical Operations Department’s strategic vision, mission and goals

Develop and oversee the implementation of the life cycle management framework, including: the establishment and implementation of the life cycle management ancillary policies and procedures

Manages the delivery of all projects from inception, feasibility through to construction, completion and post project evaluation in order that it is delivered to the agreed specification, on time and within approved budget

Manages all aspects Health & Safety management pertaining to capital works by 3rd party vendors · Prepares reports on all financial and non-financial aspects of projects for the Technical Operations Director

Shall undertake risk assessments to identify potential threats and hazards that could impact the capital works delivery and instigate mitigation strategies (business continuity plans) including robust systems for monitoring their effectiveness

As Liaison Officer shall coordinate and manage all interfaces with the external /internal stakeholders for statutory approvals, off site or on site mock up reviews and approvals, material reviews and approvals to ensure timely delivery of projects

Resolves technical, commercial and budget or costing issues typically associated with the delivery of capital projects

Manages Terrier activities arising from projects in conjunction with internal and external agents

Develops sustainable Governance arrangements for the delivery of projects and their specific day to day management

Supports the co-ordination and planning of all statutory and backlog maintenance investment programs and leads their delivery

Identifies and controls the deliverables of each project and ensures that are achieved in line with financial and non-financial expectations at all stages from inception through feasibility to completion

As quality assurance custodian shall carry out inspections and provide day to day management of all on site projects in accordance with agreed project timelines, quality standards and budget as well as providing monthly reports to the Technical Operations Director

Provides performance management, career development guidance, and development of key performance indicators (KPIs) for direct reports

Ensures operational excellence in achieving KPI’s, working towards establishing a sustainable financial model by achieving any set financial targets and driving internal process improvement and efficiency

As a brand ambassador the role holder will consider the customer prospective in all projects - working to understand and manage all stakeholders
