Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager with extensive Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) experience to lead and support initiatives focused on financial compliance, audit readiness, and internal control improvements. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of program or project management experience, strong knowledge of Department of War (DoW) FIAR requirements, and a PMP certification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage FIAR initiatives to ensure compliance with DoW financial management regulations and audit requirements.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee projects using PMI-based project management methodologies.
  • Coordinate with finance, audit, and operational teams to ensure audit readiness and financial process improvements.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, risk mitigation strategies, and performance metrics.
  • Support internal and external audits, including documentation preparation and remediation activities.
  • Conduct gap analyses and internal control assessments aligned with FIAR guidance and GAO standards.
  • Track project milestones and report progress to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with federal financial management regulations and internal control frameworks (e.g., OMB A-123).
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive financial process improvements and automation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification – required.
  • 10+ years of experience in program or project management.
  • Strong experience with FIAR initiatives within the DoW or federal government environment.
  • Experience supporting financial statement audits, internal controls, and audit remediation activities.
  • Knowledge of federal financial management frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
