Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end planning and execution of multi-disciplinary engineering programs, including optical, mechanical, electronics, and embedded software teams.

Develop program plans, schedules, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Track program progress using appropriate KPIs and project management tools; ensure milestones are met.

Interface with customers and internal stakeholders to define program requirements, manage expectations, and provide regular updates.

Coordinate with supply chain, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure smooth transition from development to production.

Drive problem-solving, issue resolution, and change management as needed during program lifecycle.

Ensure compliance with defense/aerospace standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechanical, Optics, or related field); Master’s degree preferred.

6-10 years of experience in engineering program/project management in defense, aerospace, automotive, or high-tech hardware domains.

Strong understanding of product development lifecycle for complex electro-optical or embedded systems.

Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams and external partners/vendors.

Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, or equivalent).

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of defense/military standards (e.g., MIL-STD, DO-178, etc.) is an advantage.
