Overview
Briston Construction is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our dynamic team. Briston performs projects throughout the United States for the Federal Government, primarily in connection with the renovation or ground up construction of hospitals. Projects range in size from $100,000 to more than $40,000,000.

This position will be headquartered out of Mesa, Arizona. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting with the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects. This position requires strong project management skills and a solid understanding of construction processes.

Duties

  • Prepare and manage project budgets
  • Prepare and maintain the project schedule
  • Scope, negotiate, and prepare subcontracts.
  • Provide oversight of the Project Team to assure compliance with company policies and project requirements.
  • Review, approve, and oversee project specific Accident Prevention Plan and Quality Control Management Plan.
  • Interact directly with the owner's representatives.
  • Prepare, present, and negotiate change orders with the owner and subcontractors.
  • Interact with project superintendent(s) and field staff regarding day-to-day construction activities.
  • Maintain project finances and report same to Operations Manager and COO.
  • Participate in OAC meetings.
  • Provide leadership and direction to Briston project team.
  • Facilitate meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to discuss project updates and address any concerns.
  • Oversee those working on submittals, request for information, and closeout documentation.
  • Process subcontractor and supplier payment requests.

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a project engineer or assistant project manager.
  • Experience on public works, federal contracting, and/or hospital construction is preferred.
  • Experience working with the federal government or in a hospital setting is a plus.
  • Proficient at processing submittals, request for information, and closeout documentation.
  • Proficient at Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
  • Experience with negotiating and processing contracts and change orders.
  • Experience with budgeting and management of construction project related finances.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited engineering or construction management program.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • OSHA 30-HR Certification current within the last five years is preferrable.

Pay: $91,000.00 - $109,200.00 per year
