Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the project initiation phase, defining scope, objectives, stakeholders, and success criteria.
• Oversee the preparation of feasibility studies, business cases, and risk assessments to support investment decisions.
• Facilitate project approval through coordination with executive management and stakeholders.
• Develop and implement project management frameworks, procedures, and governance structures in line with PMO standards.
• Prepare and approve Project Execution Plans (PEPs), schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Establish and manage change control, risk management, and communication plans across all phases.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of design, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Monitor and control scope, schedule, cost, and quality performance using PMO tools and methodologies.
• Ensure all departments and consultants deliver their inputs in accordance with project timelines and contractual requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between project stakeholders, clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Chair progress meetings, issue regular reports, and provide transparent communication on project performance and risks.
• Ensure alignment between technical, commercial, and operational teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee budget control, cash flow forecasting, and cost tracking to ensure financial discipline.
• Identify potential project risks and lead the development of mitigation and contingency strategies.
• Support management in contract negotiation, claims resolution, and procurement strategy.
• Lead the handover, testing, and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with specifications and readiness for operation.
• Manage punch lists, documentation, and performance testing to achieve project completion and acceptance.
• Ensure operational readiness, training, and knowledge transfer to the operations and maintenance teams.
• Establish and maintain project dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports for executive management.
• Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for process improvement.
• Promote PMO best practices and ensure continuous alignment with organizational strategic goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2 - 7 year of relevant experience within the construction industry.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software, including Primavera, MS Project, and relevant tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, for reporting and data analysis.
