Project Manager – Insurance Restoration

About Keystone State Restoration

About Us

Keystone State Restoration LLC is a fast-growing restoration company specializing in water mitigation, fire/smoke cleanup, mold remediation, and full-service reconstruction. We combine fast response, high-quality workmanship, and strong communication to serve homeowners and commercial clients across our region.

As we continue to expand, we are hiring a Project Manager who can own projects from start to finish, coordinate field teams and subcontractors, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Position Overview

The Project Manager oversees both mitigation and reconstruction projects from initial inspection through completion. This role balances field involvement (inspections, progress checks, quality control) with office responsibilities (scheduling, documentation, customer updates, reviewing estimates).

The Project Manager works closely with an estimator (who writes most estimates) and is responsible for ensuring accurate scopes, proper execution, and profitable delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Project Oversight

  • Manage multiple mitigation and reconstruction projects simultaneously from assignment through completion.
  • Perform on-site inspections, verify scopes, and oversee progress throughout the job lifecycle.
  • Create schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and sequence trades efficiently.
  • Ensure work meets company quality standards and all required documentation is completed properly.

Estimating & Documentation

  • Collaborate with the estimator, who writes most estimates.
  • Review estimates for accuracy and completeness before submission.
  • Identify and communicate supplements, change orders, and hidden damages.
  • Maintain job files, photos, progress notes, and all required documentation.

Customer Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, commercial clients, and vendors.
  • Set clear expectations, deliver proactive updates, and resolve concerns professionally.
  • Explain timelines, scope of work, and job progress in a clear and confident manner.
  • Collect progress payments, deductibles, and final payments.

Field Leadership

  • Direct and support mitigation technicians and subcontractors in the field.
  • Monitor job site safety, quality, cleanliness, and professionalism.
  • Ensure crews follow established SOPs and complete daily job documentation.
  • Hold teams accountable to schedule and quality standards.

Financial Performance

  • Maintain profitable job margins by managing labor, material, and subcontractor costs.
  • Track job budgets and production schedules.
  • Identify opportunities for upgrades, additional services, or supplemental work when appropriate.
  • Drive projects to completion on time and within budget.

Operational Coordination

  • Attend weekly production/WIP meetings and provide accurate job updates.
  • Work with the mitigation team, estimator, admin, and owner to maintain smooth operations.
  • Contribute to constant improvement of processes, communication, and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in construction, restoration, or project management
  • Strong knowledge of construction trades, mitigation processes, and job sequencing
  • Ability to lead crews and manage subcontractors
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with job management or project tracking software (or willingness to learn)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Comfortable working in both office and field environments
