Position Summary: Alcon Construction is currently seeking an experienced, highly organized, and motivated Construction Project Manager (PM) to join our team. With over 50 years in the industry, we have built a strong reputation for honesty, integrity, and professionalism. As a PM, you’ll be an important part of our team, responsible for overseeing multi-million-dollar commercial construction projects and directly contributing to the company’s success. We are looking for a team player that matches our culture and core values.

Objectives and Competencies: In this role, you will oversee projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, strategic thinker with a strong background in budgeting, scheduling, and cost control. You will act as the primary liaison between clients, architects, engineers, and your field superintendent, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

· Thoroughly review and understand prime contracts, ensure all contracts are executed timely, bonds and insurance requirements are met

· Fully understand all project plans and specifications

· Manage submittals

· Create and manage budgets, track costs, prepare estimates, and negotiate contracts and change orders, including subcontractor change orders

· Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, ensure quality, and verify adherence to design specifications

· Supervise and direct field superintendent, coordinate the procurement and allocation of material

· Proactively identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent delays or budget overruns

· Maintain meticulous project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, RFI's, and closeout documents.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related field (preferred)

· Minimum 2 years of experience in construction project management

· Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulation

· Excellent communication and leadership skills

· Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar)

· Must be legally authorized to work in the US and not in need of work visa sponsorship

Physical Requirements: This position requires the physical ability to stand, climb, kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, squat, and exert significant physical effort, including lifting at least 50 lbs. While most of our projects are located in the San Luis Valley, travel to other parts of the state for site visits may be required. The typical work schedule is 45 to 50 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
