The Project Site Manager is responsible for leading and managing all on-site project activities, ensuring that installation, testing, and commissioning of laboratory equipment, laboratory furniture, utility systems, and related infrastructure are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with client and company requirements.

The role serves as the primary on-site interface between the company, clients, subcontractors, and OEM partners.

Key Responsibilities Site Execution & Supervision
  • Lead and supervise all site activities from mobilization through project completion.
  • Ensure proper installation and integration of:
  • Laboratory instruments
  • Laboratory furniture and fume hoods
  • Monitoring and data logging systems
  • Monitor daily progress against the approved project schedule.
  • Ensure site readiness prior to equipment delivery and installation.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Act as the main site focal point with client representatives and consultants.
  • Attend and lead site progress meetings.
  • Coordinate OEM engineers' site visits for installation and commissioning.
  • Escalate risks, delays, and technical issues in a timely manner.
HSE & Compliance
  • Ensure full compliance with project HSE requirements and company policies.
  • Enforce Permit to Work (PTW) procedures.
  • Conduct routine site safety inspections.
  • Ensure proper PPE compliance for all personnel on site.
Planning & Progress Control
  • Prepare and maintain:
  • Daily and weekly progress reports
  • Track project milestones and support timely invoicing.
  • Identify potential delays and implement mitigation plans.
Quality Assurance
  • Ensure installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Support FAT/SAT and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate inspections and approvals with clients and consultants.
Subcontractor & Resource Management
  • Supervise subcontractors and site teams.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, and quality.
  • Verify completion of punch list items.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Inspection requests (MIR/WIR)
  • NCR tracking and closure
  • Daily site reports
  • Support preparation of handover dossiers and close-out documents.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • On-time project milestone achievement
  • Safety performance (zero LTI target)
  • Installation productivity vs. plan
  • Client satisfaction
  • Successful SAT and project handover
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related).
  • PMP certification is an advantage.
  • Relevant site safety certifications preferred.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 8-12 years of site/project management experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in Saudi Arabia preferred.
  • Experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable:
  • Laboratory projects
  • Industrial or EPC projects
  • Experience managing lab furniture, GDS, or analytical equipment installation is a strong plus.
