TAMKO is seeking a Plant Systems Project Manager at one of our major manufacturing locations to lead industrial automation and plant systems projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety expectations are met while following approved PMO standards and governance.

  • Plan and manage industrial automation and plant systems projects from initiation through closeout using approved PMO standards, tools, and governance.
  • Partner with plant operations, engineering, maintenance, safety, IT, and vendors to define scope, objectives, budgets, schedules, and deliverables aligned with business needs.
  • Identify and manage project stakeholders; clarify expectations, roles, responsibilities, and decision rights throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans (milestones, dependencies, critical path) and provide accurate performance reporting and forecasts.
  • Define, document, review, and control project requirements; maintain traceability between requirements, design decisions, and delivered functionality.
  • Proactively manage changes to scope, cost, schedule, and benefits to minimize operational disruption and financial risk.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, constraints, and dependencies; resolve within the team and escalate when appropriate.
  • Coordinate internal resources, contractors, and vendors to ensure solutions meet functional, safety, reliability, and operational readiness requirements.
  • Lead project closeout activities, including after-action reviews, lessons learned, documentation completion, and transition to operations.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science (required).
  • Experience managing projects in manufacturing environments and/or industrial automation/plant systems is preferred.

Travel

  • Up to 25% travel.
