11TH ST WORKSHOP
Custom Set, Fabrication & Production Design
Project Manager
Los Angeles, CA | Full-Time | 3–5 Years Experience Required | $85,000 – $120,000 / year
ABOUT US
At 11th St Workshop, we turn ideas into reality — and we do it at the highest level. With full-service shops in Los Angeles and New York, our team of craftspeople, designers, and builders work alongside the world's most iconic brands — from Louis Vuitton and Levi's to Vogue, Facebook, and YouTube. We specialize in custom set fabrication, experiential activations, retail environments, and production design, blending timeless craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology.
THE ROLE
We're looking for a sharp, driven Project Manager to join our Los Angeles team and help us deliver extraordinary work on time and on budget. This isn't your average PM role — you'll be running complex builds for major brands, coordinating fabrication teams, managing vendors, and keeping everything moving across fast-paced, high-stakes projects. You'll be a critical link between our clients, designers, and shop floor.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the end-to-end project lifecycle — from kick-off through final install and client sign-off.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects in set fabrication, retail build-outs, and experiential environments.
- Build and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and production timelines.
- Coordinate closely with fabrication teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless execution.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact — managing expectations, communicating updates, and solving problems fast.
- Collaborate with designers and art directors to translate creative vision into buildable, budget-conscious plans.
- Lead site surveys, installation logistics, and on-site supervision as needed.
- Identify risks early and develop solutions before they become problems.
- Help refine and improve internal workflows, documentation, and project management systems.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3–5 years of project management experience in set fabrication, scenic construction, or retail build environments — this is non-negotiable.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-trade projects from concept through completion.
- Strong working knowledge of construction materials, fabrication techniques, and build processes.
- Experience managing budgets, writing estimates, and tracking costs throughout a project.
- Excellent communicator — confident with clients, clear with teams, and calm under pressure.
- Highly organized with the ability to juggle competing priorities without dropping the ball.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, creative shop environment where projects evolve quickly.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Los Angeles.
BONUS POINTS
Not required — but they'll make you stand out:
- Adobe Creative Suite
- SketchUp, Fusion 360, Rhino, or SolidWorks Experience with 3D modeling tools:
- Familiarity with drafting, rendering, or production design workflows.
- Background in experiential events, theatrical production, or branded environments.
WHY 11TH ST WORKSHOP
- Work on projects for some of the biggest brands in the world — and see your work in the wild.
- A creative, collaborative team that takes the craft seriously and has a great time doing it.
- Real variety — no two projects, clients, or builds are exactly alike.
- Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
