Key Responsibilities:
- Manage HVAC installation projects, ensuring alignment of goals, timelines, resources, materials, and budget.
- Develop HVAC system designs for various onboard ship spaces, including all required calculations and technical specifications.
- Select and specify appropriate system components based on design requirements and performance criteria.
- Prepare detailed and professional drawing packages, including single-line, double-line, installation, and equipment drawings.
- Resolve installation issues promptly, ensuring all changes and requirements are clearly documented, communicated, cost-evaluated, and implemented.
- Maintain accountability for the quality of all project deliverables and installations.
- Track project progress using earned value metrics, deliverables, and acceptance plans; proactively mitigate risks and issues.
- Oversee project timelines and technical activities to ensure all deliverables meet contractual requirements and achieve customer acceptance.
- Coordinate supplier deliverables with project schedules while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering and Packaging teams to ensure alignment with design requirements, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Lead and support Installation Managers across multiple shipyards, providing technical guidance and resolving supply chain and client-related challenges.
Customer Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders at all organizational levels regarding project progress, risks, and issues.
- Proactively manage project scope, including change requests, ensuring proper documentation, evaluation, and implementation.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and promptly address concerns to ensure a high level of service and successful project outcomes.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in HVAC system design, engineering, or operation and maintenance.
- Experience within an engineering-focused organization is considered an asset.
- Proven experience managing ship installation or refurbishment projects, with a strong working knowledge of project management software.
- Solid understanding of project finance, budgeting, and cost control principles.
- PMP certification is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities (English required).
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and resources simultaneously.
- Strong business acumen with a focus on long-term growth and strategic development.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
