MGM Energy is a contractor specializing in HVAC, plumbing, energy conservation, and electrical services. We also participate in the Energy Saving Assistance Program sponsored by Southern California Edison, Southern California Gas Company, Southwest Gas, and Bear Valley Electric.

Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Project Manager to lead and oversee a diverse range of projects within our organization. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing HVAC and plumbing operations, with a strong emphasis on field execution, technician management, quality control, and production performance. This role ensures that projects and daily tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, schedules, and objectives.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and has a proven track record of successfully managing teams, workflows, schedules, and resources.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a diverse range of daily project operations across multiple job sites.
  • Directly manage technicians, leads, and subcontractors to ensure productivity and quality workmanship.
  • Conduct regular job site visits to monitor progress, safety compliance, and quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to field personnel as needed
  • Develop and manage technician schedules to meet production targets and service commitments
  • Monitor and control overtime, ensuring efficient labor utilization
  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly production metrics and KPIs
  • Adjust workflows and staffing plans to meet changing operational demands
  • Enforce company quality standards, installation best practices, and inspection readiness
  • Promote and uphold safety policies, procedures, and job-site safety standards
  • Address and resolve quality issues, rework, and field deficiencies promptly
  • Participate in safety meetings, audits, and corrective action planning
  • Oversee inventory levels for equipment, materials, and tools
  • Coordinate material orders, deliveries, and job-site staging
  • Minimize material waste, shortages, and delays
  • Work with warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure material availability
  • Implement and improve operational workflows to increase efficiency and consistency
  • Maintain accurate job documentation, reports, and field records
  • Coordinate closely with dispatch, estimating, billing, and administrative teams
  • Resolve operational issues that impact schedule, quality, or cost

Requirements

  • Must have an active California Driver’s License
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Associates degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of project or operations management experience in HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical construction
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Proven experience supervising technicians and managing field crews
  • Ability to manage schedules, labor hours, and production goals
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with scheduling software, project tracking systems, or field service tools
  • Spanish speaker is a Plus
  • 1 years of experience with the ESA Program is a plus.
  • Must pass a seven-year background check
  • Must pass a drug test.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus

Job Type:

Full-time

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 7:00 am- 4:00 pm

Compensation:

$65,000-$75,000 per year
