Civil Construction Project Manager (Part-Time)

Role Overview

Silicon Valley Construction Services (SVCS) is seeking a Civil Construction Project Manager to support an active civil project in Stockton, CA. This is a part-time role focused on coordination, compliance, and stakeholder management, including regular meetings with city officials, clients, and internal teams.

Time Commitment

• 40 hours per week
• 160 hours per month

Weekly Breakdown

• 1 internal coordination meeting
• 1 meeting with city representatives
• 1 client meeting
• 1 site visit
• Each meeting includes preparation, attendance, and post-meeting follow-up

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate civil construction activities for the Stockton project
• Prepare for and attend weekly meetings with internal teams, city officials, and clients
• Conduct weekly site visits and provide written status updates
• Track permits, schedules, and city requirements
• Coordinate action items and follow-ups
• Serve as a liaison between SVCS, city agencies, and clients
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting

QualificationsRequired

• Proven hands-on experience in civil construction (e.g., Construction Foreman, Site Supervisor, Project Coordinator, or similar roles)
• Demonstrated experience managing or supporting civil construction projects
• Experience working with municipalities, inspectors, or permitting authorities
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage responsibilities effectively in a part-time structure

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (active or in progress)
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
• Experience managing public works or city-regulated projects
• Familiarity with California civil codes and municipal requirements

A Civil Engineering degree and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license is not required for this role. Candidates with strong, relevant hands-on construction experience including foremen, site supervisors, or similar field leadership roles are encouraged to apply. Compensation is determined based on overall qualifications, demonstrated experience, and any applicable licensure or credentials.

Compensation (Qualification-Based)

• $1,000 per month — for candidates without a Civil Engineering degree, based on demonstrated construction experience
• $1,500–$2,000 per month — for candidates with a Civil Engineering degree and/or advanced credentials, based on experience and licensure
