Project Manager

Theatrical scenery shop looking for experienced and highly skilled Shop Production Manager/Foreman to be a focused and diligent team leader.

Candidate must be able to work long and flexible hours, including weekends.

Candidate must have experience with managing multiple carpentry, metal & paint departments all while keeping shop staff directed, focused & on point.

Candidate will be responsible for generating & maintaining shop schedule/staff.

Candidate will be responsible for interviewing & hiring new shop staff, while evaluating existing personnel.

Candidate will be expected to ensure the training of new hires in the shop, and maintain all industry safety standards.

Candidate will be expected to assist with bidding and estimating on occasion.

Candidate will be expected to purchase materials, while maintaining project budgets.

Must be able to offer solutions and see the BIG picture.

A plus for ideal candidate is a work history in the film, television, theatrical scenery & exhibit fabrication fields.

must have solid organizational & time management skills.

Must have knowledge of common office software.

OSHA 30 Certification.

Job Type: Full-time
