IGS is currently recruiting for a remote Project Manager to support our work with our federal client. Please note, the role is contingent upon award.

Assignment of Work and Travel:

This is a remote access assignment. Candidates will work remotely daily and will remotely access customer systems and therein use approved customer provided communications systems. Travel is not required; however, the candidate may be required to attend onsite client meetings as requested.

The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating project activities, including scheduling meetings, managing communications, and providing regular status reports to stakeholders. They gather and analyze business requirements, oversee Agile development efforts, and support the delivery and implementation of Salesforce and enterprise solutions. Additionally, the role includes managing stakeholders, tracking performance metrics, supporting training and documentation, and ensuring successful project execution from planning through transition.

Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to):

  • Responsible for scheduling meetings, sending a meeting agenda, and taking meeting minutes; meeting minutes and updates to the project management plan, if applicable, shall be distributed to meeting attendees
  • Provide monthly status reports to the PM and COR, describing project statuses, accomplishments, pending issues/risks, and cost tracking
  • Provide input support to a project management plan, including work breakdown structure, performance metrics, activity schedule, staffing requirements, deliverable schedule, and milestone schedule. The Contractor will maintain these schedules using project tracking tools as directed by the government
  • Triage customer requests and conduct customer meetings to support eliciting and analyzing the business requirements to determine course of actions
  • Manage and document stakeholder needs and expectations both internal and external
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding services and solutions
  • Conduct research and provide recommendations for technical approaches for business process improvements to support customer’s enterprise software management program
  • Support and facilitate customer outreach meetings with OpDivs, StaffDivs, and vendor communities
  • Manage developers and technical tasks providing requirements analysis, functional testing, UAT testing support, and release and implementation support for the customer’s Salesforce application and community portals
  • Conduct and track agile software development lifecycle sprints
  • Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and create a dashboard for customer’s management team
  • Develop technical user guides or system reference documents as needed
  • Provide training materials and conduct training to customers and other end users
  • Develop a transition plan that describes how work and knowledge will be transitioned to federal employees, or another contractor, if applicable, at the end of the period of performance (PoP).
  • The transition plan shall include timelines, required activities, and all documentation acquired and required by the OCIO
  • Other Duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • BS Degree: computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline or equivalent years of experience (B.A. + 10 years of software development project management experience)
  • Certified Scrum Master certification (CSM)
  • Understanding business requirements and developing technical requirements
  • Experience with any of the following technologies: MS Teams, SharePoint, MS Office applications
  • Experience working in an environment utilizing enterprise Salesforce solutions
  • Ability to support customers during EST hours
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and organization skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an HHS Public Trust
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship due to clearance requirement

Preferred Qualifications and Core Competencies:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Knowledge of HHS Operating divisions
  • Active HHS Public Trust
  • Prior, successful experience working in a remote environment

Compensation: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
