About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Landscape Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from pre-construction through completion. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Menlo Park, California.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial landscape construction, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and client management. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and field teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial landscape construction projects from award through closeout.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, proactively addressing project-related issues and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Coordinate project activities between operations teams, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and job cost reporting.
- Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and estimates to ensure successful project execution.
- Conduct site visits and project walkthroughs to monitor progress, address challenges, and verify work quality.
- Track labor, material, and equipment costs and analyze budget variances.
- Prepare and manage change orders, work orders, and project documentation.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with clients, property managers, architects, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Promote and enforce all company safety policies and jobsite safety requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve project performance, communication, and operational efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience in landscape construction estimating and project management.
- Strong estimating background with working knowledge of landscape construction, installation, and irrigation systems.
- Experience managing commercial landscape construction projects.
- Familiarity with commercial landscape equipment and construction practices.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and document management.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from construction plans, specifications, and drawings.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Experience working with commercial property managers, vendors, consultants, and architects is preferred.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office.
Education & Requirements
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
