The Project Manager – ELV, Fire Alarm & Security Systems is responsible for end-to-end management of ELV projects, including planning, design coordination, execution, testing, commissioning, and handover. The role ensures timely delivery within budget, compliance with standards, and coordination with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Control
- Plan, execute, and close ELV, Fire Alarm, and Security system projects
- Prepare project schedules, work plans, and resource allocation
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and cash flow
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Design & Engineering Coordination
- Review and approve ELV, Fire Alarm, and Security system designs and drawings
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, and MEP teams
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, NBC, local fire authority, and client standards
- Lead value engineering and design optimization initiatives
Systems Managed
- Fire Detection & Alarm Systems (Addressable & Conventional)
- CCTV Surveillance Systems
- Access Control & Time Attendance Systems
- Intrusion / Burglar Alarm Systems
- Structured Cabling (Data & Voice)
- Public Address & Voice Evacuation Systems
- Video Door Phone (VDP)
- BMS / IBMS Integration
Execution & Site Management
- Lead site teams including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors
- Ensure installations follow approved drawings and specifications
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, HVAC, and interior teams
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and system integration
- Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, and authorities
- Ensure snag closure and final acceptance
- Manage handover documentation including O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and warranties
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Finalize BOQs, material specifications, and procurement plans
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely material delivery
- Evaluate subcontractor performance and ensure quality compliance
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and consultants
- Attend project review meetings and present status reports
- Manage change orders, variations, and claims
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and quality standards
- Enforce site safety practices and toolbox talks
- Maintain project documentation and quality records
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation
- 5-10 years of experience in ELV, Fire Alarm, and Security systems
- Minimum 3–5 years in a Project Manager or Lead Engineer role
- Experience handling large commercial, residential, hospital, hotel, or IT projects
