  • Technical Oversight: Review shop drawings, schematics, and technical submittals for systems such as IPTV, PA/GA, Fire Alarm, Security, and Wi-Fi networks.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Resource Allocation: Manage onsite technicians and engineers, ensuring manpower is optimized across multiple sites.
  • Procurement & Budgeting: Monitor project costs, manage BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and coordinate with the procurement team for timely material delivery.
  • Compliance & Quality: Ensure all installations meet local regulatory standards and company quality benchmarks.
  • Submittal Management: Own the preparation and tracking of the Technical Submittal Package, including Material Submittals, Shop Drawings, and Method Statements for all ELV/IT systems.
  • RFI Coordination: Proactively raise and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify design ambiguities or site constraints with the Consultant before they become costly errors.
  • Material Compliance: Ensure all proposed equipment (Servers, Switches, Cameras, Sensors) aligns strictly with the Project Specifications and is sourced from Consultant-approved vendor lists.
  • Version Control: Maintain a rigorous document control system to ensure the site team is always working from the latest "Issued for Construction" (IFC) drawings.
  • The "Approval Loop": Manage the cycle of comments (Code A, B, or C) from consultants; lead the technical team in addressing comments and resubmitting until "Approved" status is achieved.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Technical Knowledge: understanding of IP networking, fiber optics, and integrated security platforms (CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection), as well as firefighting and detection.
  • Certifications: PMP or PRINCE2 is highly preferred. Cisco (CCNA) or manufacturer-specific ELV certifications are a major plus, or any technical certificates
  • Software Proficiency: Expert in MS Project or Primavera or any project management software; proficient in AutoCAD for drawing reviews.
  • Diplomatic Negotiation: Ability to push back on unrealistic consultant demands or client scope-creep while maintaining a professional partnership.
  • Technical Writing: High proficiency in drafting formal correspondence, site instructions, and technical justifications for material substitutions.
  • Strong understanding and implementation of site Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with UAE construction standards and guidelines, particularly for governmental or large private-sector projects.

What We’re Looking For:

  • "We don't just need someone who checks boxes; we need someone who can anticipate a bottleneck two weeks before it happens and has the grit to navigate complex site environments."
  • Approval Workflow Leadership: Manage the end-to-end submission process for Material Submittals (MAS), Shop Drawings, and Method Statements, ensuring timely approval from consultants to avoid site delays.
  • Expectation Alignment: Act as the technical translator between the client’s business needs and the consultant’s technical specifications, ensuring the final delivery meets both parties' standards.
  • Variation & Change Management: Identify "scope creep" early. Negotiate and document any variations from the original contract, ensuring the client sign-off and consultant approval before work commences.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Lead weekly progress meetings with stakeholders and produce detailed status reports, risk logs, and "As-Built" documentation for final handover.
