Project Manager – High-Rise Building Construction

Job Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing high-rise building construction projects in Dubai, ensuring delivery within scope, time, budget, and quality standards while complying with local regulations and safety requirements. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and coordination with consultants, subcontractors, and authorities.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Lead the construction of high-rise residential/commercial/mixed-use buildings from mobilization to handover.
• Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions to meet milestones.

Stakeholder & Consultant Coordination

• Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, and subcontractors.
• Chair progress meetings and coordinate design clarifications and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, DEWA, RTA, and other relevant authorities.

Cost & Contract Management

• Control project costs, variations, and claims.
• Review subcontractor invoices, payment certificates, and change orders.
• Ensure adherence to contract conditions (FIDIC experience preferred).

Quality & Safety Management

• Ensure implementation of QA/QC plans and inspection procedures.
• Enforce HSE standards in line with UAE regulations and company policies.
• Ensure timely inspections, testing, and approvals.

Team Leadership

• Manage site engineers, construction managers, QA/QC, HSE, and support staff.
• Provide guidance, performance reviews, and technical direction to the project team.

Risk & Problem Management

• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Resolve technical, contractual, and site-related issues efficiently.

Project Close-Out

• Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover.
• Ensure completion of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and authority approvals.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• PMP certification is an advantage.
• 10–15 years of experience, with minimum 5 years managing high-rise building projects in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, post-tension slabs, façade systems, and MEP coordination.
• Experience working with consultants and local authorities in Dubai.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Sound knowledge of UAE construction laws, codes, and standards.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and fast-track projects.
