Project Manager III

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support large-scale IT initiatives. This role requires strong leadership in managing complex projects, budgets, and schedules, as well as ensuring delivery on time and within scope. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of industry best practices and a proven record of driving successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, risks, and change requests.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
• Utilize project portfolio management tools and Microsoft Project for planning and tracking.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience:
• 7+ years of IT project management experience, including best practices and methodologies.
• 7+ years successfully delivering projects on time and on budget.
• 7+ years managing project budgets, schedules, risks, and issues.
• 5+ years using project portfolio management systems (e.g., Clarity).
• 5+ years advanced experience with MS Project.
• Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly desired.

Work Schedule & Location

• Hybrid role: In-office 2 days per week in Lansing, MI.
• Local candidates within commuting distance are preferred.
• Duration: 1 year contract with potential for extension.
