About ROCHA Design Studio

ROCHA Design Studio is a boutique interior architecture and design firm based in Los Angeles, specializing in luxury residential, boutique commercial, and hospitality projects. We believe great design is about more than creating beautiful spaces, it’s about creating environments that are thoughtful, timeless, and deeply connected to the people who use them.

We’re a small, collaborative studio where everyone has the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Our projects are highly customized, and we work closely with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, artisans, and vendors to bring each vision to life with creativity, precision, and exceptional attention to detail.

As our studio continues to grow, we’re looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and bringing structure to creative projects. We want someone who is passionate about both design and construction and is excited about growing with our team for the long term.

If you’re looking for a place where your ideas matter, where you’ll work directly with leadership, and where you’ll help shape the future of a growing luxury design studio, we’d love to meet you.

Position Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple luxury interior design and construction projects from concept through completion.

This role is much more than managing schedules. You’ll become the central point of coordination between our clients, design team, architects, consultants, contractors, fabricators, and vendors, keeping projects organized, moving forward, and ensuring every detail is executed to the highest standard.

Working directly with the Creative Director, you’ll play a key leadership role in helping transform creative ideas into beautifully executed spaces while delivering an exceptional client experience throughout every phase of the project.

The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, an excellent communicator, and enjoys balancing creativity with detailed project management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of multiple luxury interior design and construction projects.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and timelines from concept through installation.
  • Coordinate communication between clients, architects, interior designers, engineers, consultants, contractors, fabricators, and vendors.
  • Manage project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, financial reporting, and change orders.
  • Review architectural drawings, construction documents, specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals for coordination and accuracy.
  • Coordinate consultant deliverables and ensure documentation is complete and aligned across all disciplines.
  • Conduct regular construction site visits to monitor quality, schedule, progress, and adherence to design intent.
  • Lead project meetings, prepare agendas, document meeting notes, assign action items, and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Oversee procurement schedules, purchase orders, production timelines, shipping logistics, warehouse coordination, deliveries, and installations.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, contracts, approvals, specifications, budgets, schedules, and project dashboards.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, permitting requirements, contracts, and industry standards.
  • Identify project risks early, resolve issues proactively, and keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Provide weekly project updates to studio leadership regarding budgets, schedules, procurement, construction progress, and outstanding decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with clients while delivering an exceptional project experience from beginning to end.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of project management experience within luxury residential, commercial interiors, hospitality, architecture, or construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction administration, project scheduling, procurement, budgeting, consultant coordination, and contract administration.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, construction documents, interior elevations, technical details, and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, permitting processes, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Comfortable leading meetings and communicating confidently with clients, contractors, consultants, and vendors.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, highly organized, and capable of working independently while collaborating with a creative team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required with equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Software Experience

  • AutoCAD
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Google Workspace
  • Houzz Pro
  • Primavera P6
  • Microsoft Project
  • Procore Construction Management

Experience using project management software for scheduling, budgeting, procurement, document management, and construction administration is highly preferred.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys bringing order to complex projects and takes ownership from beginning to end.

You thrive in a collaborative environment, communicate with confidence, and enjoy working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and designers. You anticipate challenges before they arise, solve problems with a positive attitude, and understand that exceptional project management is just as important as exceptional design.

Most importantly, you’re looking for more than just your next job. You’re looking for a place where you can grow, contribute, and become an important part of a creative team that’s passionate about producing extraordinary work.

Compensation & Growth

This position begins as a part-time role (20–40 hours per week) with flexibility based on project workload.
