Project Manager · Interior Design Studio

House Rupert is a full-service interior design studio based in Montecito, recognized in LUXE NEXT 2026 by Luxe Interiors + Design. We're hiring a Project Manager to lead the execution phase across every project — procurement, vendor coordination, contractor management, installation, and closeout.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution end-to-end across all active projects
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, and trades
• Manage procurement, lead times, and long-lead items
• Review vendor proposals and invoices for alignment with scope and design intent
• Coordinate RFIs and design clarifications between contractors and the design team
• Oversee receiving, warehouse logistics, installation, and punch list completion
• Represent the studio on-site

What We're Looking For

• A background that overlaps with execution at House Rupert — interior design PM, residential construction, architectural PM, custom homebuilding, millwork or furniture trade, hospitality build-out, or similar
• Minimum 5 years managing projects in a residential or design-adjacent environment
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, schedules, and specifications
• Comfort running projects through software; adaptable and inquisitive
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity in Studio Designer would be a bonus
• Strong organisation, confident communication with clients and trades
• An eye for quality and proportion

Role

• Full-time, contract
• Hourly rate, depending on experience
• Office-based in Santa Barbara with some remote flexibility
• Primarily Central Coast projects
