Overview
The Project Manager will join an AE team providing support in strategic project management, business analysis, process improvement, data analysis, requirements elicitation, implementation, and testing. The team is responsible for understanding the clients’ short and long-term vision, breaking down complex challenges into manageable projects, creating tailored solutions, and implementing and tracking projects’ progress and results. This team has a long track record of successfully managing processes and project improvements and operates in a collaborative manner, working together regularly to strategize and develop effective solutions.
To succeed in this role, you bring strong analytical thinking, technical fluency, and business acumen, combined with a deep understanding of stakeholder needs. You lead complex IT initiatives across the full system lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment. You are comfortable operating across domains such as enterprise systems, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, IT policy, and data management. You quickly adapt to evolving technologies and priorities. You ask the hard, necessary questions to mitigate risk, address dependencies, and ensure program success. You communicate effectively with senior technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts into clear, actionable insights. You understand there are multiple paths to solving technical challenges and facilitate constructive, data-driven discussions to determine the best approach. Through disciplined project management practices, you drive alignment across diverse stakeholders, requirements, and operational constraints to ensure delivery is coordinated, transparent, and accountable.
The Project Manager’s initial portfolio will be focused on IT projects which could include new software or hardware, process re-engineering, application development, or other modernization efforts. The portfolio of work is dynamic and will require stepping into diverse roles as needed by the client. The Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, implementation, training, and measurement of these projects and must be comfortable serving many additional roles (ex. business analyst, trainer, tester, etc.). This role involves collaborating with teams spanning multiple functions within IT (enterprise operations, networking, application development, records management, cybersecurity, asset management, etc.) as well as business units outside IT (Finance, Procurement, HR, Facilities, etc.). The Project Manager will drive project performance through effective stakeholder communication, data-driven decision-making, rigorous tracking of timelines, risks, deliverables, and requirement elicitation, management, and validation. Success in this role requires strong leadership, the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced federal consulting environment, and a commitment to delivering scalable, high-quality IT solutions.
