Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Kitchen Project Manager to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in multi-unit kitchen design, a creative mindset, and a strong understanding of space optimization and cost-effective solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating multiunit jobsites from plans to field installation.
- Field measuring kitchen & bath job sites.
- Managing multiple suppliers and subcontractors.
- Reading and understanding architectural and interior design plans.
- Problem solving kitchen solutions in both the design and construction phase.
- Coordinating punch lists.
- Coordinating deliveries and field distribution.
- Work closely with our sales and project management teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of kitchen solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, products, and technologies in the multiunit kitchen and bath industry
- Performing takeoffs (mostly cabinets details & specs): This is the process of identifying, the specification and the details about the cabinets and countertops from project blueprint, or architectural set.
- Reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings (blueprints): This involves understanding the symbols, scales, dimensions, and specifications to accurately determine material types, quantities.
- Developing cost estimates: Using the takeoff data, along with current material prices, labor costs, equipment rates, and other expenses, to create a comprehensive project cost estimate.
- Preparing and submitting bids and proposals: Creating formal offers that outline the project scope, estimated costs, timeline, and qualifications to secure construction projects.
Essential skills
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills: Accurate calculations are crucial for estimating.
- Detail-oriented and organized: Precision and meticulousness are paramount to avoid errors in estimates.
- Ability to read and interpret complex construction documents: This includes blueprints, specifications, and other technical drawings.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal): To effectively communicate with team members, clients, and suppliers.
- Proficiency with computer software: Including general productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft Office) and specialized estimating in Excel.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in the kitchen industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft excel.
- Experience in field measuring.
- Strong grasp of cabinet SKU’s.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen materials, finishes, and fixtures suitable for multiunit projects.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
