Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Project Manager / Lead to establish and lead our internal Project Management function. This key leadership role will be responsible for defining and implementing the "CreatorUp way" of project management, bringing consistency and standardization across all projects, whether managed by our core team or network project managers. You will mentor and guide a team of project managers, improve PM operations and standards across the company, and step into complex projects as needed to ensure successful outcomes. This is both a leadership and a hands-on role—ideal for someone who thrives on structure, agility, and solving problems in a dynamic creative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:

Develop and implement project management standards, processes, tools, and best practices tailored to content production, including client interaction protocols from the first meeting, formats and templates, technology utilization (e.g., Google Sheets, Smartsheets, Monday.com, Asana), communication best practices with clients, and internal escalation procedures.

Lead the Project Management function that supports, aligns, and elevates project managers across all departments.

Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to project managers, ensuring adherence to established practices.

Build and maintain project dashboards and KPIs to monitor portfolio health and performance.

Develop a proactive culture among project managers, fostering a sense of ownership and commitment for their assigned projects.
Project Oversight & Support:

Provide senior oversight across CreatorUp’s portfolio of projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.

Identify and troubleshoot at-risk projects; step in directly when necessary to realign teams and mitigate risks.

Collaborate closely with project leads, department heads, and external partners to ensure strategic alignment and delivery excellence.

Serve as the first point of escalation for any issues project-based project managers encounter.

Potentially manage one or two complex projects directly.
Cross-functional Collaboration:

Serve as a liaison between the PM team and executive leadership, translating business goals into actionable project plans.

Work closely with sales, creative, product, and client success teams to ensure resource alignment and delivery readiness.

Facilitate cross-project learning, retrospectives, and knowledge sharing across teams.
Qualifications:
Must-Have:

5+ years of experience in project management, including at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.

Proven experience managing and mentoring project managers in a fast-paced environment.

Background in creative, media production, education, or related industries.

Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, Trello, etc.).

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities with poise and decisiveness.
Nice-to-Have:

PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar project management certification.

Experience building or leading a PMO function from the ground up.

Familiarity with AI-powered production tools or digital content workflows.

Background in education technology, marketing, or live event production.
