About Us: JT Roselle Lightingis a leading provider of innovative lighting solutions for commercial, residential, and industrial projects. Our team works with Building Owners, Construction Managers, General Contractors and Electrical Contractors to drive project success. We are looking for a skilled Lighting Project Manager to join our team and contribute to the successful execution of lighting projects across various sectors.

Position Overview:
The Lighting Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of lighting projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a deep understanding of lighting systems, and the ability to work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver exceptional lighting solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Coordination: Lead and manage the full lifecycle of lighting projects valued at up to $15MM, from the initial transition phase through to installation and final handover, ensuring that all project goals are met.
  • Team Management: Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams, including estimators, salespeople, finance and client’s construction team, product representatives, and suppliers, to ensure the project runs smoothly.
  • Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular status report updates on project progress, addressing any concerns, and ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Scope & Budget Management: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets. Monitor and manage project costs, approve invoices, and ensure the project is completed on or under budget. Identify opportunities to save money without sacrificing quality. Address any budget discrepancies or scope changes promptly.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases of the project, from design to installation. Ensure that deadlines are adhered to by all team members and subcontractors.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work is performed to the highest quality standards, adhering to all safety regulations, lighting building codes, and client requirements.
  • Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Manage relationships with manufacturers, lighting suppliers, equipment vendors, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and services spanning the order through final delivery.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Proactively address any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, drawings, and meeting notes. Provide regular status reports to senior management and clients.
  • Post-Project Evaluation: Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices for future projects.
  • Ad Hoc Assignments: Execute on ad hoc assignments as directed by the management team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in lighting project management, electrical contracting, or related fields. Experience with commercial or residential lighting projects is highly preferred.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong experience managing all phases of a project, from planning and budgeting to execution and closeout.
  • Lighting Systems Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of lighting systems, including energy-efficient lighting technologies (e.g., LED, smart lighting), electrical codes, and safety regulations.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage project teams, including subcontractors and vendors.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle unforeseen project challenges and deliver solutions that keep projects on track and within budget.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable presenting to clients and stakeholders.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) Familiarity with Acumatica/ERP preferred. Familiarity with estimation software Stack preferred. Willingness to learn Stack and Acumatica is required.
  • Time Management: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience managing large-scale commercial lighting projects or installations is highly desirable.
  • Supervisory Experience: Knowledge of leading teams including performance metrics and providing positive, constructive, and developmental feedback.
  • Knowledge of Smart Lighting: Familiarity with advanced lighting control systems, automation, and energy-efficient technologies.
  • Safety Certification: OSHA 10C is required, or a willingness to become certified.

Physical Requirements

  • Walking/Standing: Traverse both interior and exterior construction project sites, including uneven terrain, for extended periods during job walks.
  • Lifting/Carrying: Ability to move or position lighting fixtures and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Visual Requirements: Must possess specific vision abilities, including color perception, depth perception, and the ability to read technical architectural drawings and lighting submittals at various light levels.
  • Activity Variability: Ability to handle the range of physical activity from sitting at a desk for extended periods performing the administrative functions of a project, to the ability to ascend and descend construction elevators when at job sites to attend job meetings, inspect lighting installations or ceiling-mounted controls, and provide corrective actions.
  • Weather and Noise Exposure: Must be able to work in diverse environments, including outdoor weather conditions and active construction zones with elevated noise levels.
  • Communication & Technology: Constantly operates computer and mobile project management tools; must be able to communicate complex technical information clearly to clients, electricians, and internal teams.

Pay: $105,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
