SBS has been retained to assist a luxury residential interior design firm in the search for a Part-Time Project Manager to support high-end residential design and custom home projects throughout Middle Tennessee.

This role is ideal for an organized, proactive, and client-focused professional who enjoys working in a creative environment and thrives on managing multiple projects, timelines, vendors, and client relationships.

POSITION DETAILS

  • Part-Time 1099 Contractor
  • Approximately 20–30 hours per week
  • Typical schedule: 4–5 hours per day
  • Monday–Friday with occasional weekend availability required
  • Starting Pay: $25/hour
  • Significant travel throughout the Greater Nashville area and surrounding Middle Tennessee communities
  • Multiple project site visits may be required daily
  • Reliable transportation is required

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage multiple luxury residential design and construction projects simultaneously
  • Coordinate project schedules, timelines, and installations
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, contractors, architects, vendors, and the design team
  • Attend project meetings, site visits, installations, and walkthroughs
  • Track project selections, approvals, procurement, deliveries, and lead times
  • Maintain project budgets, spreadsheets, invoices, and documentation
  • Coordinate with builders, architects, and trade partners to ensure design intent is properly executed
  • Manage ordering logistics, deliveries, damages, returns, and vendor communication
  • Provide clients with an organized, high-touch, luxury experience throughout the project lifecycle
  • Assist with improving internal systems and project management processes

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 1–2+ years of experience in Interior Design Project Management, Construction Management, Luxury Residential Design, or Custom Home Projects
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Experience working with contractors, architects, and vendors
  • Professional and polished client-facing presence
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and trustworthy
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This position requires regular travel throughout the Greater Nashville and Middle Tennessee area, including visits to client homes, construction sites, vendor locations, and project meetings. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be comfortable working independently while managing multiple active projects.
