Certifications Required: PMP (Active), Scrum Master (CSM/SAFe preferred)

Desirable: Public Sector Experience (CA State Exp is ++)

Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager will manage MITA modernization initiatives, oversee project planning and execution, coordinate stakeholders, manage risks and deliverables, and ensure alignment with DHCS strategic goals, CMS regulations, and MITA requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Medicaid modernization projects.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and governance.
• Coordinate MITA State Self-Assessments and roadmap development.
• Manage project risks, dependencies, and escalations.
• Facilitate executive-level reporting and stakeholder communication.
• Ensure compliance with CMS and DHCS standards.
• Develop project work plans and status reporting.

Mandatory Qualifications (MQs)

• Minimum 3 years managing Medicaid or Health & Human Services projects.
• Minimum 2 years supporting MITA State Self-Assessments, Gap Analyses, Roadmaps, Transition Plans, Executive Summaries, and Maturity Models.
• PMP certification (or equivalent Project Management degree).

Desirable Qualifications (DQs)

• Bachelor's degree.
• Enterprise governance experience.
• Experience aligning enterprise solutions with standards and strategic goals.
• Cross-functional collaboration experience.
• Understanding of business processes, governance, and policy frameworks.

ACTIVE PMP CERTIFICATION IS MUST

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
