Project Manager – Networking, Low Voltage & Wireless (Remote)

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for networking, low voltage, and wireless installations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to define project requirements, develop detailed plans, and establish clear milestones.
• Oversee field service activities including equipment installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of network hardware and low voltage systems.
• Utilize schematics and technical drawings to guide installation processes and verify system configurations align with specifications.
• Conduct site visits (virtually or in-person when necessary) to assess progress, perform quality checks, and ensure safety standards are maintained.
• Manage the use of hand tools and testing equipment such as ohmmeters during installation and troubleshooting phases.
• Provide technical guidance on computer hardware setup, network cabling, wireless access points, and low voltage wiring systems.
• Maintain detailed documentation including schematics, service reports, maintenance logs, and incident reports for each project phase.
• Support ongoing equipment repair efforts by diagnosing issues using mechanical knowledge and electrical testing tools.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to low voltage electrical work while adhering to industry standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in field service roles involving network systems, low voltage wiring, or wireless technology installations.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools for equipment setup and repair.
• Familiarity with computer hardware components and their integration within network environments.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams accurately.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters or multimeters.
• Knowledge of computer networking principles including switches, routers, wireless access points, and cabling standards.
• Prior service technician experience in equipment repair or maintenance is highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects remotely while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients effectively.
