Role Overview
Lead plumbing and heating projects with hustle, humility and high sense of urgency. You'll orchestrate teams, own budgets and deliver on-time, high-quality results while fostering relationships that fuel repeat business. This role is approximately 80% office and 20% onsite and it demands urgency, creativity and a profit-driven mindset in a fast-paced environment. While a normal work week is 40 hours, we can get busy…expect 50-60 hours week during peak seasons with flexibility required for site visits and client needs.
Key Responsibilities
· Project Leadership: Initiate, plan, execute and close-out projects on schedule and under budget using shrewd negotiation, efficient management and innovative problem-solving.
· Client & Stakeholder Management: Build lasting relationships with owners, GCs, subs, architects and engineers through emotionally intelligent communication by always acting like a professional, being responsive and having a solution-focused outlook.
· Procurement & Resource Optimization: Source materials, equipment and subcontractors intelligently; issue Purchase Orders and subcontracts, manage deliveries and brainstorm cost-saving methods without compromising quality.
· Scheduling & Team Coordination: Develop internal timelines, staff projects with skilled tradespeople and communicate to keep everyone aligned. Then when it changes, adapt creatively to these challenges.
· Financial & Risk Control: Monitor budgets vs. actuals, invoice aggressively (percentage-of-completion method), secure waivers and mitigate risks via Job Hazard Analyses and ensure our field teams are the safest around.
· Closeout & Small Projects: Deliver polished closeouts with warranties, owner training and documentation; handle smaller jobs like fixture replacements and interior buildouts with the same pro-level execution.
· Safety & Compliance: Conduct weekly Toolbox Talks on your jobsites, enforce site-specific plans and aim for zero incidents prioritize crew well-being.
· Tech & Tools Mastery: Leverage Bluebeam, BuildOps, Microsoft tools and Google tools to streamline workflows.
· Business Growth: Assist in bidding by injecting your experience to our estimators and helping to identify competitive edges to win more work.
What We're Looking For
· 3+ years in Plumbing/Piping/HVAC project management; technical knowledge of systems, codes and construction practices. If you are interested but have less than 3 years’ experience, sell yourself to us, tell us how you’d be a great fit for us.
· Exceptional organizer, logical thinker and communicator who excels in high-stress scenarios with tact and enthusiasm. Proficient in technology, typing and not afraid to learn new technology. Experience in Bluebeam, Procore, BuildOps, Outlook, Word, Excel are expected for this role.
· Humble, hungry and hustle-oriented. Embrace 'Extreme Ownership,' prioritize ethics and act as a partner, not a vendor. Willing to jump in when needed.
· Bachelor's in Construction Management or related field is preferred but not required; PMP or similar a plus, but not required.
· Valid driver's license; reliable transportation; ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings/Saturdays. Steel-toe boots and PPE will be provided for sites.
Compensation & Perks
· Salary: $60,000 - $90,000 starting range, based on experience, paid weekly.
