Position Overview
The Project Manager, Retail Commercialization, leads the planning, coordination, and flawless execution of all retail commercialization projects across MBC Companies—from concept through customer launch. Reporting to the VP of Retail Sales, this role ensures every project is delivered on time and in full (OTIF) through close collaboration with R&D, Sales, Category Management, Operations, and Marketing.
This position requires exceptional project leadership, cross-functional alignment, and organizational discipline. The Project Manager serves as the central point of accountability for commercialization timelines, readiness milestones, and deliverables—driving visibility, ownership, and communication throughout each project lifecycle.
As MBC continues to expand its frozen breakfast and pizza businesses in the retail private label channel, this role will be key to ensuring speed, precision, and consistency in bringing new products to market.
Key Responsibilities

Lead all retail commercialization projects from concept through launch, ensuring alignment on scope, deliverables, and launch dates.

Develop and manage detailed project timelines with clear milestones and interdependencies across functions.

Facilitate weekly cross-functional project reviews to confirm readiness, remove obstacles, and maintain accountability.

Collaborate with R&D to track product development and trial progress; with Sales and Category Management to ensure customer and market requirements are met; and with Operations to confirm production and packaging readiness.

Maintain commercialization documentation—including item setup, specifications, artwork, and packaging accuracy—ensuring all components are approved prior to launch.

Provide executive-level visibility into project status, OTIF performance, and risk mitigation plans through dashboards and project tracking tools.

Identify and escalate risks early, driving proactive course-correction to protect launch timelines.

Lead post-launch reviews to capture lessons learned and recommend process enhancements for future projects.
Qualifications / Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Project Management (MBA a plus).

5+ years of project management experience in CPG, food manufacturing, or related industry.

Demonstrated success leading commercialization projects and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Strong proficiency in project management tools (Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com, Microsoft Project).

Expertise with Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint) for collaboration and reporting.

Experience building and maintaining OTIF tracking and commercialization dashboards (Power BI or similar).

PMP certification or formal project management training preferred.
