Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Site In-Charge with strong expertise in project estimation and cost control. The role involves managing on-site execution while ensuring accurate project costing from the planning and bidding stage through completion. The ideal candidate will play a key role in project profitability, quality execution, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:Project Estimation & Budgeting
- Study drawings, BOQs, specifications, and tender documents to understand complete project scope.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates covering materials, manpower, equipment, overheads, and margins.
- Conduct quantity take-offs for civil, structural, finishing, MEP, and allied works.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
- Identify cost risks, contingencies, and value-engineering opportunities.
Project & Site Management
- Oversee daily site operations and ensure work execution aligns with approved drawings and budgets.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal teams for smooth project progress.
- Monitor project timelines, resource allocation, and productivity.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality benchmarks, and statutory requirements.
Cost Control & Reporting
- Track actual costs versus estimated budgets and highlight deviations.
- Prepare BOQs, cost comparison statements, and project progress reports.
- Support management with financial forecasts, variation estimates, and billing inputs.
- Maintain proper documentation related to estimation, procurement, and execution.
Coordination & Communication
- Act as a single point of contact between site teams, management, and external stakeholders.
- Resolve technical and cost-related queries during project execution.
- Participate in project review meetings and provide actionable insights.
Tools & Software
- Use estimation tools, AutoCAD, and MS Excel effectively for costing and planning.
- Maintain updated records using digital and manual systems.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- 5–7 years of experience in construction project management with strong estimation exposure.
- Hands-on experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction practices, materials, and cost structures.
- Strong analytical ability with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines.
