Project Manager-Solar Module factory

About the Role

We are establishing a new Solar Module (PV) manufacturing facility in JAFZA and are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the full project lifecycle — from concept and regulatory approvals to commissioning and production ramp‑up. The role reports to the Group PMO and COO and requires strong coordination across EPC partners, equipment vendors, consultants, and JAFZA authorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Manage end‑to‑end delivery of a greenfield PV module factory, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget compliance
• Team Management: Assign tasks, monitor performance, and support recruitment of project personnel
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with investors, senior management, consultants, and government authorities
• Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain project plans, critical paths, and phase‑gate milestones
• Budget & Cost Control: Track budgets, EVM metrics, and drive value‑engineering initiatives
• Procurement & Vendor Oversight: Manage vendor selection, FAT/SAT, and performance across all phases
• Risk & Issue Management: Maintain risk registers and implement mitigation plans
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure deliverables meet ISO 9001 and contractual standards
• JAFZA Coordination: Handle all permits, inspections, NOCs, and regulatory submissions with JAFZA, DEWA, DCD, and other UAE authorities
• PMO Reporting: Submit dashboards, documentation, and updates to the Group PMO

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering (required)
• MBA preferred
• 10+ years of project management experience, including 5+ years in manufacturing/energy/industrial projects
• Proven experience delivering greenfield/brownfield facilities (CAPEX USD 50M+)
• Prior JAFZA or UAE/GCC free‑zone experience strongly preferred
• Experience in solar PV or electronics manufacturing is an advantage

Certifications & Skills

• PMP or PRINCE2 (required)
• Lean/Six Sigma preferred
• Strong command of MS Project / Primavera P6
• Knowledge of EPC contracts, FIDIC, UAE construction law
• Familiarity with PV module production processes is a plus

Pay: AED20,000.00 - AED25,000.00 per hour
