About the Role
Arbutus Consultants is seeking a structured, commercially aware, and technically strong Project Manager – Solar PV to lead renewable energy assignments across engineering, advisory, design, and construction monitoring projects.
The role requires strong contract alignment, execution discipline, client management capability, and cross-functional coordination across internal teams and external consultants.
Key Responsibilities
1. Contract & Scope Management
- Review and interpret project contracts and scope.
- Break down deliverables, milestones, timelines, and billing triggers.
- Prevent scope creep through structured change management.
- Align project execution strictly with contractual commitments.
2. Project Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain project execution plans.
- Track schedules, milestones, and critical paths.
- Monitor progress against baseline using structured controls.
- Ensure alignment between engineering deliverables and client/site schedules.
3. Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of coordination for clients.
- Lead review meetings, progress discussions, and governance calls.
- Coordinate effectively with internal departments and external consultants.
- Escalate risks and issues in a timely and structured manner.
4. Project Controls & Reporting
- Develop and monitor:
- S-curves
- Progress trackers
- Risk & red flag registers
- Decision and action logs
- Create executive dashboards for management reporting.
- Link deliverables with billing milestones and commercial tracking.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Engineering Practice Leads, QAQC teams, and Operations.
- Ensure resource alignment and workload distribution.
- Drive accountability across teams for timely deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Civil / Renewable Energy preferred)
- MBA in Project Management / Operations (preferred)
- 3-6 years of experience in utility-scale Solar PV projects
Technical & Tool Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience in MS Project or equivalent project management tools
- Ability to develop and interpret S-curves, resource loading, and progress dashboards
- Strong understanding of project controls and contract management
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹610,367.19 - ₹1,092,388.26 per year
