Job Summary
Carrie Moore Interior Design is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project & Studio Manager to lead project management across our design projects while overseeing daily studio operations. This is a hands-on, in-studio role essential to keeping both our projects and our workspace running smoothly.
The position is full-time and based in our Durham, NC studio. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and enjoys supporting both the creative and operational sides of a growing design studio.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project timelines, milestones, and overall project flow
- Track progress across multiple projects and ensure alignment with key deadlines
- Keep designers organized, accountable, and on schedule throughout each phase
- Provide regular project updates and communication to clients
- Manage day-to-day office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and maintaining office
- Maintain and organize materials library, ensuring samples are up-to-date and easily accessible for the design team
- Ensure the studio is organized, functional, and presentation-ready
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients, vendors, and visitors, providing a welcoming and professional presence. Answer phones and check messages
- Assist designers and procurement team by obtaining estimates, samples, and quotes for various projects
- Support team through performing miscellaneous design assistant duties, including updating spreadsheets and helping assemble presentations
- Help plan and implement company social events and outreach
- Assist with marketing efforts as needed
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in project management or a related field
- Familiarity with interior design processes preferred
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and follow-through skills
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and detail-driven
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with project management tools preferred (Houzz Pro, Studio Manager, etc.)
- Proficiency in office software (Google Workspace, Adobe, etc.)
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
