Project Technical Director

We are seeking a Project Technical Director to join our founding team. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are designed, permitted, and executed to the highest standards, providing both investors and partners with confidence in our ability to deliver.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee design management across concept, schematic, and detailed design stages.
• Manage relationships with external architects, engineers, and consultants, ensuring design excellence, efficiency, and compliance.
• Coordinate and secure all necessary municipality approvals, zoning, and permitting for projects in Jeddah.
• Oversee construction management activities, including contractor coordination, shop drawing reviews, site supervision, and project reporting.
• Conduct technical feasibility studies, site analysis, and massing options to support early deal evaluations and investor pitches.
• Implement value engineering, quality assurance, and risk management strategies to optimize cost, design, and performance.
• Prepare technical reports, project updates, and investor presentations highlighting project progress and milestones.
• Ensure all projects adhere to Vision 2030 objectives, sustainability guidelines, and international hospitality/luxury standards.
• Collaborate with the Finance & Investments Associate to align design/construction costs with financial models and budgets.
• Represent Hariri Development with technical credibility in meetings with investors, landowners, and operators.

Ideal Profile

• Educational Background:Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering. Master’s in Project Management, Construction, or Real Estate a plus.
• Professional Experience:8–12 years of experience in architecture, design management, and/or construction management, ideally with exposure to hospitality, mixed-use, or luxury residential projects.
• Background: Previous work with top-tier firms (e.g., Foster + Partners, KPF, BIG) or Saudi giga-projects (RSG, NEOM, Diriyah, etc.) highly valued.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong design and technical coordination expertise.
• Proven ability to manage consultants and contractors through all stages of development.
• Solid knowledge of Saudi building codes, permitting processes, and contractor landscape.
• Language: Bilingual (Arabic/English), with excellent communication and presentation skills.
