Project Technician

Description:

Electrical controls, PLC and HMI programming, industrial safety, and pneumatic and hydraulic solutions. A division of Skarda Equipment Company, a Certified Power Company.

This position is responsible for the assembly and wiring of industrial control panels.

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

• Hours may vary during training and may become flexible after the training period

Pay Rate: $22-$26/hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read wiring diagrams and panel layout drawings
• Assemble control panels per the layout drawings
• Wire control panels according to wiring diagrams
• Drill and cut holes in panels for mounting various components
• Assist in the fabrication and assembly of all projects

SKILLS DESIRED:

• 2+ years of similar experience
• High mechanical aptitude
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience with motor controls and Variable Frequency Drives
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar programs
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Manufacturing environment experience
• Ability to interact professionally with customers and outside sales personnel
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and manuals
• Ability to design and build control panels and modify existing controls per customer request
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback

• Degree not required
• Must have some electrical experience and be able to read electrical schematics

Dress Code:

• Regular workdays: Jeans, hoodie, collared shirt
• Client visits: Business casual (collared shirt, khakis)
