Property Assistant / General Laborer

Duties

• Assist with general property maintenance including landscaping, cleaning, and minor repairs to uphold property standards
• Support facilities maintenance activities such as plumbing, electrical work, and mechanical repairs using schematics and technical drawings
• Operate tools and equipment including welders, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting and repairs
• Perform residential painting tasks and oversee basic carpentry or drywall work as needed
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Support supervising staff during project execution, ensuring safety protocols are followed and tasks are completed efficiently
• Conduct inspections of the property to identify repair needs or safety hazards, documenting findings clearly for follow-up

Experience

• Prior experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing, or construction environments is highly desirable
• Knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and mechanical components is essential
• Hands-on welding experience and familiarity with residential painting are a plus
• Demonstrated ability to read technical diagrams and operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and PLCs
• Customer service skills to effectively communicate with team members and vendors in English
• Supervising experience or leadership roles in similar settings will be advantageous
• Basic understanding of CMMS software for work order management is preferred
