Property Claims Public Adjuster

Job Description

We are looking for a licensed public adjuster to add to our team in the Greenwood, SC area with the higher demand of services in the region. Applicants must be honest, hard working, and willing to work within a one and a half hour radius. Applicants must be able to traverse shingled roofs safely and have approximately two or more years experience with insurance related roof claims. Qualifying experience can be as an independent adjuster, contractor, third-party inspector, etc…

We handle all sales, contracts, scheduling, estimating, invoicing, and supplementing in house. You will be responsible for meeting onsite with insurance company representatives to show damages related to an insurance claim, show the carrier where in the policy the claim is covered, and show the carrier how much the claim will actually cost. We write the estimates for you, but you will be required to proof-read and approve the estimate prior to sending to the carrier. We provide training for all of the above but you must have a working knowledge of insurance claims and storm related damages to property.

You will need a public adjusters license. If you already have an insurance adjuster license, you may be able to add the public adjuster license to your DOI profile, or you may need to convert it, depending on the State. Applicants must be licensed prior to starting.

Pay is based on 40% - 50% of our company’s fee, per claim. Applicants can expect to make between $70k and $120k in their first year depending on your own work ethic and how well you handle claims. By no means is $120k a cap on what you can make, with first year adjusters exceeding $160k. We have experienced public adjusters who make well above these amounts, but again, it’s up to you.

  • No scheduling
  • No Xactimate/Symbility (estimating)
