Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Property Investment Coordinator to join our team. This role is vital in managing and optimizing property investments, ensuring compliance with housing regulations, and fostering strong relationships with tenants, vendors, and stakeholders. As a Property Investment Coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating property acquisitions, lease negotiations, and ongoing asset management to maximize investment returns and ensure operational excellence.
Duties
- Coordinate property acquisitions, including due diligence, legal documentation, and compliance with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations and Fair Housing laws
- Manage property leasing processes using Yardi or OneSite property management software, including tenant screening, lease agreements, and renewals
- Oversee property maintenance requests and facilities management to ensure properties are well-maintained and compliant with safety standards
- Conduct tenant relations activities, addressing inquiries with professional phone etiquette and resolving conflicts effectively through conflict management skills
- Assist in negotiating contracts with vendors, service providers, and tenants to secure favorable terms while adhering to legal requirements such as landlord-tenant law
- Maintain accurate data entry and filing of legal documents, lease agreements, contracts, and property records using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or similar tools
- Support sales activities related to upselling additional services or lease options to tenants while providing exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- Proven experience in real estate administrative roles or property management environments
- Strong knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing regulations, Fair Housing laws, and landlord-tenant law
- Proficiency in Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software; experience with Data entry and Office applications is essential
- Legal administrative experience with contracts negotiation and document filing
- Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette
- Ability to handle conflict resolution effectively and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Familiarity with facilities management practices and property maintenance procedures
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry, filing, and record keeping
