We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Management Accountant to support the accounting and financial operations of our growing portfolio of residential rental communities. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of our financial records while providing valuable insights that help drive business decisions. What You'll Do

  • Manage the accounting functions for three residential rental communities.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger records and prepare monthly journal entries.
  • Reconcile resident ledgers, rent collections, security deposits, and other property-related transactions.
  • Process and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with property managers to support operational and financial goals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in property management, real estate, multifamily housing, manufactured housing, or residential rental communities.
  • Experience with RealPage property management software is required.
  • Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting principles.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and property-level financial reporting.
  • Experience working with multiple entities, communities, or business units.
  • Familiarity with affordable housing, manufactured housing, single-family rentals, or multifamily communities.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
