Property Management Administrative Assistant

About the Position

Are you organized, dependable, and looking for an opportunity to build a long-term career in residential property management?

We are seeking a Property Management Administrative Assistant to support our Client Services Manager in the day-to-day administration of a portfolio of single-family and small multi-family rental properties.

This position is primarily an administrative support role. You will help keep communication, documentation, scheduling, and operational tasks organized while gaining valuable hands-on experience in residential property management.

Prior residential property management experience is strongly preferred, as we are looking for someone who can contribute quickly while continuing to learn and grow within the organization.

For the right person, this position provides a clear path for growth into higher levels of responsibility as skills, knowledge, and experience develop.

What You'll Do

  • Provide administrative support to the Client Services Manager
  • Assist with owner, resident, vendor, and applicant communications by phone and email
  • Help coordinate maintenance requests, vendor scheduling, and follow-up
  • Assist with lease renewals, notices, rent collection follow-up, and related administrative tasks
  • Maintain organized electronic files, records, and documentation
  • Track deadlines and assist with operational follow-through
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and routine communications
  • Assist with property inspections and field-related activities, as needed - reliable transportation is required for field activity and/or business errands
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions
  • Learn company systems, procedures, and best practices to prepare for increased responsibilities and future advancement opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of residential property management experience (single-family or multi-family strongly preferred)
  • Leasing experience
  • Real estate experience
  • Administrative support experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge
  • Experience with property management software is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • $18.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Full-time position (40 hours per week) - this is not a remote position

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday (8:30am - 5:30pm)
  • Occasional after-hours or emergency maintenance response/dispatch rotation shared among team members
