Property Management Maintenance Team Lead - Bilingual, Spanish

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Lead to join our organization; this role reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Job Summary
The maintenance team lead is responsible to oversee maintenance staff and coordinate operations within our growing portfolio of apartment homes. This dynamic leader will drive safety, efficiency, and reliability by managing a team of technicians and to ensure peak performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong home maintenance knowledge, along with exceptional leadership skills to motivate and supervise staff. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead maintenance projects, implement preventive strategies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Daily local travel between locations is required.

Duties

  • Train, mentor, and oversee maintenance staff
  • Establish daily work schedules for team members
  • Foster effective communication with team members in both Spanish and English to ensure clear understanding of tasks, safety procedures, and deadlines
  • Receive, prioritize, and assign daily work orders to team members
  • Personally perform or oversee complex plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general home repairs
  • Conduct unit inspections, take photos, and report maintenance concerns
  • Inspect complete work to ensure it meets company quality and safety standards
  • Conduct post-repair check-ins to ensure resident satisfaction
  • Contact, schedule, and oversee outside contractors for specialized work
  • Coordinate property wide projects involving maintenance upgrades or installations
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and local building codes
  • Oversee groundskeeping, landscaping, and trash removal to maintain property physical appearances
  • Coordinate and provide proper legal notice to residents before entering their homes for non-emergency maintenance or inspections

Qualifications

  • Valid drivers license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Experience in multifamily or property maintenance
  • Proven management or supervisory experience
  • strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general home maintenance
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting processes

Pay: $25.00 per hour
