Property Manager - Affordable Housing

Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of residential properties. This role requires expertise in affordable housing programs, regulatory compliance, and tenant relations. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and committed to maintaining high standards of property operations and resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned residential properties
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, landlord-tenant laws, and other applicable requirements
• Coordinate and supervise property maintenance to ensure safe, clean, and well-maintained buildings
• Monitor, address, and resolve building violations within required deadlines
• Manage tenant relations, including responding to inquiries and resolving conflicts professionally
• Prepare for property inspections and coordinate unit access with residents
• Promote and upsell available amenities and services to enhance resident experience and retention

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs and Section 8 regulations
• Experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, OneSite); CMMS experience is a plus
• Familiarity with landlord-tenant law, contracts, and fair housing compliance
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, including professional phone etiquette
• Proven ability to manage conflict and maintain positive resident relationships
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Knowledge of REAC inspections and NYC agencies such as HPD, DOB, FDNY, and DHCR

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
